TimeToTest
Free, anonymous STI partner notification. Because telling someone matters, even when telling them is hard.
Three screens. No account required.
The whole flow is designed to get out of your way. From opening the app to sending the message takes under a minute.
Enter phone numbers
Add the numbers of recent partners. No names, no accounts, no sign-up.
Select the STI
Choose from a list including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, and others.
Send anonymously
Each partner receives an anonymous SMS directing them to their nearest sexual health clinic. Your identity is never revealed.
Partner notification is often the hardest part of a diagnosis.
67% of UK adults would not necessarily inform a partner after an STI diagnosis. Of those, 92% say the reason is fear of how they would be perceived.
Anonymous notification reaches partners who would never be contacted otherwise. In a study of men who have sex with men receiving STI clinic services, 56% said they would use anonymous notification, and 45% said they would be more likely to notify partners if this option were available.
Telling someone matters. TimeToTest makes it possible to do so without giving up your name.
We don't know who you are. We don't want to.
Privacy is not an afterthought here. It is the reason this service exists.

No data stored
Phone numbers are discarded the moment the message is sent.

A Community Interest Company, not a startup.
TimeToTest CIC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales (company 17163328). All surplus is reinvested into the service, not distributed as profit.
The asset lock to Terrence Higgins Trust (charity no. 288527) ensures that the organisation's assets remain dedicated to community benefit. If TimeToTest is ever wound up, remaining assets go to the UK's largest HIV and sexual health charity.
TimeToTest is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is a communication tool that directs users to NHS sexual health services at sexualhealth.nhs.uk/find.
Free to use. Always will be.
TimeToTest is funded by donations and grants. If you'd like to support the service, you can contribute via Ko-fi.
